Las orquídeas de Chiapas

Client: Redacta --- Book/catalogue design. “Las orquídeas de Chiapas” [Orchids of Chiapas] is a scientific treatise which presents the reader with a broad prospect on the rich orchid flora in the Mexican state of Chiapas. The heterogeneous information devices of the book (textual records of varied structure, charts, maps, botanical drawings, and a vast collection of photos) demanded from us, along with the stimulating search for design solutions, to devise ways of automating repetitive tasks with custom coded scripts. (The following pictures are mockups, soon to be replaced by final photos.)
